Barbara E. Wilson, 74, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. She was born June 23, 1950, in Lynchburg, Virginia, daughter to the late Smith Marie and Eddie Marie (Franklin) Elder. Barbara worked as a homemaker, caring for her family, as well as having worked in the grocery store business as a cashier and assistant manager. She had many things she enjoyed, but spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, cooking, and attending garage sales were a few of her favorites. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jerome D. "Jerry" Wilson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Elizabeth Marie (Kevin) Day of Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Hudson Day, and Owen Day; brother, Dennis Elder; and sisters, Vicky (Carl) Hunt and Debra (John) Brightwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Elder. Visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
