Betty Brayton passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born on November 19, 1942, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late, Lyle and Helen Johns. Betty was a lifetime resident of Fort Wayne.
She was a Dental Assistant for Dr. McKeen of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Dr. Shannon Arnett of Kendallville, Indiana, and retired in 1997.
She was a very devoted member of the Lagrange Church of God and always put her trust in God’s word. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, David Brayton of Fort Wayne, IN; son, Aaron (Amy) Brayton of Brookston, IN; sister, Eileen Platz of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Keith (Kris) Johns of Columbia City, IN; grandchildren, Emily, Madison, Noah Brayton; and her daughter-in-law, Jodi Brayton.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Christopher; and Mark Brayton in 2016.
Funeral Service will be 1:30 pm on Monday, November 3, 2025, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, with visitation two hours prior. Pastor Rich Laskowski, from LaGrange Church of God will be officiating. Committal and burial will be held at Highland Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation or Shriners Hospital for Children.
