Betty Irene Goba

Betty Irene Goba, 94, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 20, 2022, and is now with the Lord. A Fort Wayne native, Betty worked in the office at Eckrich & Sons for many years until she “semi” retired and then went on to work at Summit Bank. She absolutely loved going to Acapulco, Mexico every year for over 40 years, and had a wonderful time with good friends. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed for her positive, generous, joyful nature. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Molly and Charles Goba; and a brother, Wilmer Goba. She is survived by a niece, Sharon Strickler, of Leesburg, Indiana. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery in Fort Wayne will follow the conclusion of the funeral service.
