Betty Lou Snyder, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 29, 2021. She was born July 18, 1931 in Colorado Springs, CO, the daughter of William and Esther Hall. Betty married and started her family in Colorado, moving to Fort Wayne in 1960, where three more children were born. She always missed her Colorado family, but remained close throughout her life. She devoted herself to family, and was a loving Mom, Grams, Great-Grams, Sister and friend to many. She will be loved and missed forever by her brother, William Hall (CO), sisters, Margaret (Larry) Elliott (CO), Irene Paskert (TX) and Cathy Bergmeier (CO); children, Judy (Tom) Haberthier of Broomfield, CO, Jerry (Sue) Snyder of Fort Wayne, Jan Wilhelm of Fort Wayne, Jean (Wes) Beamon of Fort Wayne, Jackie (Mike) Sodano of Decatur, AL, and Julie Lukemire of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Mascarenas of Salida, CO, Jake Wilhelm of Fort Wayne, Stephanie Peabody of Decatur, AL, Kelly (Ian) Nidetz of Bozeman, MT, Paul Snyder of London, UK, Emily Snyder (fiancé, James Shepherd) of Indianapolis, Tony Sodano of Decatur, AL, Sam (Becki) Snyder of Fort Wayne, Will Beamon of Fort Wayne, Jill (Dan)Brown of Milwaukee, Kristin (fiancé Nick Nevins) Beamon of Fort Wayne, Jack Lukemire of Fort Wayne, Dustin Lukemire of Vancouver, WA, Scott Beamon, Audrey Lukemire and Troy Lukemire, all of Fort Wayne; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews that will miss Aunt Betty. A family gathering is planned in lieu of services. A special thank you to the wonderful caregivers from Parkview Hospice and StoryPoint of Fort Wayne/Laurus HomeCare, who cared for mom with love and dignity. Memorials to Parkview Hospice, dementia research or Donor’s choice.
