Betty Jean Thompson

Betty Jean Thompson, 94, passed away in Winter Park, FL on August 26, 2021. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on May 15, 1927, a daughter of the late Loraine and Ruth Carter. She was a graduate of Central High School and Indiana University. Betty was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Women for a number of years. She was employed at Magnavox for nearly 50 years before her retirement. In her spare time she enjoyed photography, traveling all over the world, & was very active in the United Methodist Women. She is survived by daughters, Rhonda (Herb) Ellis and Brenda (Dale) Elston; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one step-brother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene; and 2 sisters Mary Louise Osborn, and Patricia Slagal. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Burial will take place in Covington Memorial Gardens, Ft. Wayne, IN.
