

Billy D. Carrico, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home. Born May 25, 1926 in Terre Haute, IN, he was a World War II US Navy Veteran. He retired in 1989 from Our Sunday Visitor. He was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Fort Wayne Club of Printing House Craftsmen, and Master Gardener’s Association. Surviving are his wife, Bettie A. Carrico, of Fort Wayne; daughters, Terrie Carrico and Laura Carrico, both of Fort Wayne; Mary (Bryce) Burnworth, of Columbia City; Betsy (Ron) Spiegel, of North Webster; and son, Br. Mark Carrico, OFM, CAP, of Detroit, MI; grandchildren, Rachel (Miles) Malstaff, Joey (Kristen) Spiegel, Eric (Ashlee) Burnworth, Benjamin Burnworth, Vincent Burnworth, Amber Marley (David) Gavilanez and Carrie Marley; and great grandchildren, Annabelle and Alana Malstaff, Liam Burnworth, Aidan and Averie Gavilanez, and 13 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Earl Carrico and Francis Carrico and 2 sisters, Mary McFall and Lola Feree. Mass of Christian Burial is 2:00 pm Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1122 S. Clinton St. with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 6-8 pm Sunday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
