BOBBY JOE FAIRCHILD, 66, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, 12:50 p.m., at his residence with his loving daughter, Lisa Marie at his side. Born July 2, 1944, in Paintsville, Ky., he was a retired construction worker. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Marie Fairchild of Fort Wayne; and two half sisters, Linda Salyer (Lonnie) Padgett of Fort Wayne and Kathy Salyer Etting of Angola. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ella Jean Fairchild; and grandparents, Ed and Laura Hitchcock Fairchild. He was the last male child of the Ed Fairchilds lineage. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. He will be taken back to his birthplace at Staffordsville to be laid to rest with his mother and grandparents at the family church cemetery.
