Bobby Joe Williams

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a cherished member of our family, Bobby “Wop” Williams (56). Wop passed away on May 13th, 2025, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Wop was born September 1st, 1968, to his parents, Lugene and Luther Williams, both preceding him in death.

Wop had a generous heart and a willingness to help others. He was loved by many and always lifted the spirits of those around him, making sure everyone had a good laugh. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure to kick it with him, as he would put it.

Wop is survived by his children, Bobby, Brandon, D’Estinee (Aaron Dark), Santana Flores (Amanda Vallejo) and Lamontre Williams. Wop is also survived by his longtime friend, the one he referred to as dad, Marcos Gamboa, and many other close family members, including Matthew and Michael Flores. Surviving siblings include Bruce, Frank, Dip (Toni), Michael, Rita, Mary, Barbara, Rubie Williams-Lee (Felton), Diane, and Marie Williams. Siblings that preceded him in death include Eddie and Larry (Squeak) Williams. Wop has 11 surviving grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews as well.
