Bonnie Kay Anderson

Bonnie Kay Anderson, 59, passed away on June 3, 2021. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on April 14, 1962 the daughter of Mary Lou Anderson, who survives and the late Douglas S. Anderson Sr. Bonnie was a 1980 graduate of South Side High School and graduated from Ball State University. She was a social worker for the State of Indiana until her retirement two years ago. Bonnie enjoyed volunteering in the past at the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre. She loved traveling with her friends in her younger years. Some of her favorite activities in Fort Wayne included walking her dog at Foster Park and attending oldies concerts at Foellinger Theater. In her spare time she enjoyed needle point, basket making, and reading. Since her retirement she took great joy in long talks on the phone with family, friends, and former co-workers. She is survived by her mother, Mary Lou Anderson; siblings, Rebecca Figert, Douglas Anderson, David Anderson; and nephew, Jared Figert of Oklahoma and niece, Kylee Figert of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas S. Anderson Sr., grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you donate to the charity of your choosing.
