

Bonnie Lou Ellis, 84, of Fort Wayne passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Bradenton, Florida. She was born on September 17, 1931 in Huntington to the late Rink and Ruth (Herendeen) Mills. Bonnie was a member of Monson Chapel which is now Sonrise Church - Roanoke. She enjoyed camping, cooking, and being outdoors. Most of all she was a positive inspiration to all, and her family worth, and morals were sacred to her. She was a role model to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren sharing her wealth of love knowledge and wisdom. Surviving family include her children, Richard Ellis, Herbert (Rhonda) Ellis, Timothy Ellis, and Kathleen (Tim Runion) Ellis; nine grandchildren, Adam (Marianne) Ellis, Brandon Ellis, Erin Bowman, Gretchen (Tyler) Ottinger Amanda Casto, Sarah (Kevin) Higgins, Rachel Ellis, Derek Ellis and Carly (Clinton) Smith,16 great grandchildren; a brother, Michael (JoAnn) Mills; her sister-in-law and best friend, Gloria Ellis. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband Richard Ellis; and a grandson, Matthew Ryan Coffey. Memorial service will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Monson Chapel / Sonrise Church – Roanoke Campus, 12220 Lower Huntington Rd, Roanoke, IN 46783 with a gathering of friends and family two hours prior. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
