Bonnie Schuler Kamat

Bonnie Schuler Kamat, 73 passed away Tuesday September 7, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born January 19, 1948 in Marshalltown, IA the daughter of the late William and Evelyn Schuler. She grew up in State Center, IA. Bonnie earned her Bachelor’s in Child Development from Iowa State University and earned her Master’s in Education from Kansas City University. She taught in Kansas, Texas and Indiana. Bonnie retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and spending time with her family and pets. She is survived by her husband Harischandra Kamat of Fort Wayne, IN; children Krissie (Brad) Foster of Peoria, IL; Joshua Kamat of Ashville, NC; grandchildren Tyler and Leah Foster, and her brother Robert (Delores) Schuler of Odessa, TX. Funeral Service will be 10 am Wednesday September 15, 2021at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also Tuesday September 14, 2021 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Concordia Gardens Cemetery.
