Byron Lamont Kennedy

Byron Lamont Kennedy, 78, of Fort Wayne died in peace on Thursday December 29, 2016. He was born to the late Harold and Doris Kennedy on August 5, 1938 in Fort Wayne. He worked for GE for over 30 years retiring in 1996. Byron also served in the Air National Guard out of Fort Wayne and served in France in 1962. He is survived by his wife Irene Kennedy; son Kevin (Denise) Kennedy; daughters Cindy (Dennis) Pickett, Kathy (Gregg) Fanning and Christy (John) Brock; step sons Joe (Cindy) Winebrenner, Jason Carr and Matthew (Jessica) Winebrenner; step daughters Jennifer Carr, Cathy (Patrick) Wolfe; 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren. Memorials to the American Heart Association. Funeral service will be at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home 6131 St. Joe Rd. Fort Wayne, IN, on Monday January 2, 2017 at 11am with calling 1 hour prior. Calling will also be on Sunday from 4-7pm at the funeral home. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery.
