Carol R. Schuhler, 78, of Fort Wayne passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016. She was born on November 29, 1937 in Fort Wayne to the late Robert and Virginia (Kinerk) Meshberger. She worked as a homemaker raising her family. She enjoyed looking for and collecting antiques. She especially loved her grandchildren and animals. Surviving family include her husband, James “Jim” Schuhler; son, Marc (Becky) Schuhler; daughter, Amanda Schuhler; grandchildren, Jessica, Megan, and Kevin; sister, Nancy Ford; and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her special friends, Bea (Lou) Sorg. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Allen County SPCA, Animal Care & Control, or Visiting Nurse.
