Caroline Sue Simmons

Caroline Sue Simmons, 81, of Auburn, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 at home. She was born August 8, 1942 in Gas City, Indiana, daughter of the late Paul and Faye (Oliver) Dawson. Caroline worked at State Farm from 1975 to 1982, and then worked at Taylor University for 25 years, two years in social work and 23 years as administrative assistant to office of the President and Vice President. Surviving her are her husband, Gerald A. Simmons; children, Jeffrey A. Simmons, Christine S. Lewis, Jill R. Trosper, and Scott A. (Melissa) Simmons; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her seven siblings. A Celebration of Caroline’s life will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 11:00 a. at First Assembly of God, 1400 West Washington Center Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
