

Chadwick K. Johnson went to his heavenly home Firday morning February 19, 2010. No longer in pain, Chad is once again standing tall watching over all those he loved. Born July 8, 1926, in Zanesville, IN; he was the son of James and Mildred (Duley) Johnson. Chad worked for Arrow Motors for 25 yrs, retiring form Michigan Wholesalers in 1992. Chad loved fishing, making candy, playing the lottery and wood working. He made many beautiful pieces of furniture for family members and friends. The most important thing in the world to Chad was his family. He was quick to laugh and enjoyed telling stories that amused everyone. Chad never met a stranger and was the first to offer to help anyone in need. Chad is survived by his loving wife of 47 yrs, Patricia; Daughter, Karen Shiflett, Hampton, GA; Sons, David (Mary) Woods, Garrett, IN; John (Ronda) Woods, Monroeville, IN; Christopher (Patsy) Johnson, Ft Wayne, IN; Special Daughter, Teresa White. 11 grandchildren, John (DaLonna), Joshua (Myra), Heather (Billy), Andrew, Megan, Miranda, Holly, Daniel, Britteny, Jazlyn, and Jaci. 9 great grandchildren, J.D., Trey, Shelby, Gracie, Isabella, Camdyn, Milas, Augustus and Reece Patrick, many nieces, nephews and other family members. He preceded in death by his brother, James and sisters, Doris and Betty and loving pet Shelba. While he will be missed, he will be forever remembered in the hearts of all who were blessed to call him; husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He was a 50 yr member of the Teamsters Union 414. Funeral Service Monday 11:00am at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd., with calling 1 hr prior to service. Calling Sunday 3-7pm at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton, Winchester Rd. Chapel. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Preferred memorials to: Southern Care Hospice or SPCA.
