Charles Eugene Davis, 60, of Fort Wayne, passed away on June 27, 2022. Born on May 26, 1962, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Cornelius and Ila (Hughes) Davis. They resided in the town of Aboite. Charles was an avid NASCAR fan, and always watched the races whenever possible. He was a huge Jeff Gordon fan, and in his later years, he cheered for Chase Elliott. He also loved tractor pulls, and would go to watch his favorite pullers whenever possible. He was also a longtime member of the Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Post #160.
He is survived by his sisters, Linda (Paul) Till, Susie Durr, Cheryl (Allen) Jones; brother, Paul Davis; nieces, Crystal (Tim) Kohler, Rachel Jones, and Abby Davis; nephews, Kyle (Lindsay) Till, Chad (Mackenzie) Jones, Drew (Lindi) Davis, Trevor (Erin) Davis, Justin Durr, and Brennan Durr; as well as seven great-nieces, and five great-nephews.
A Celebration of Charles’ Life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00pm, Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the American Legion Post #160, 1122 N Main St, Roanoke, IN 46783. Arrangements have been entrusted to D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne.
