Christopher “Chris” L. Beedle, 44, of Woodburn, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023. Born on July 24, 1978, in Fort Wayne, he was a 1997 graduate of Northrop High School, following high school, Chris furthered his education at ITT Tech, earning an AS degree in Automotive, and was employed at MainStay Solutions, BF Goodrich, and Berger Auto Center. Chris helped the organizations Fostering Hope for Children, and the Woodburn Clothing Bank, volunteering occasionally and always wishing he could do more. Chris was an ardent writer of poems, and short stories, and an entertainer extraordinaire, a fishing enthusiast, a lover of horror films, the rock band Rush, was a lifelong Star Wars fan (Din Djarin, was his favorite character), and loved reading the works of such authors as Stephen King, Edgar Allen Poe, and Kurt Vonnegut. One could not find a funnier, yet humble person than Chris. His endless jokes and stories made us laugh until our sides hurt, and tears streamed down our cheeks. His manners and unparalleled politeness impressed us, considering the inexplicable amount of “snark” we knew he held back. His broad knowledge of automotive and computer science along with profound understanding of various other topics baffled us. He loved those whom he let close as fierce as could be. Despite all of this, he never seemed to grasp the amount of people he influenced; how his aura and personality charmed everyone he crossed paths with. Chris is survived by his wife of more than 23 years, Wende Beedle; mother, Mollie Burley, of Hudson; father, Grady Beedle, of Fort Wayne; mother-in-law, Bonnie (Mark) Rickard, of Fort Wayne; father-in-law, Dave (Wendy) Randall, of St Charles, Missouri; brother-in-law, Adam (Nicole) Randall, of Carmel; several step-siblings, eight nieces and nephews; maternal uncle, Bob Mudrack, of Fort Wayne; paternal aunts, Anita Stuller, and Virginia Resor, both of Fort Wayne; as well as several numerous cousins, family members and friends. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph & Audie Pearl Mudrack, and Roscoe & Annie Pearl Beedle; and stepfather, Fred Burley. Arrangements have been entrusted to D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Fostering Hope for Children, the Safe Haven Baby Boxes, or the Woodburn Clothing Bank. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the Beedle family at www.mccombandsons.com
