CJ "Butch" Batchelor, 74, of Fort Wayne passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025. He was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina on April 8, 1951, a son of the late Clifford and Margaret (Murphy) Batchelor Sr. He served in the United States Army. CJ had a passion for art and painting, which led him to win the 1976 Rod Custom Motorcycle Show. He liked to tinker in the garage and had a nak for sugaring up the grandchildren with candy. CJ enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Hook and Ladder, enjoying a cold one.
He is survived by his children, Cheri (Dayton) Glover, April (Philip) Batchelor- Hundley, and Clayton (Mindy) Batchelor; grandchildren, Brittany (Ike), Brandi (Jake), Shyann, Alexis, Nicole, Kiley, Cortney, Tabitha, Kenneth, Tyler, Katie, and Hunter; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Jim) Bubb; and brother, Robert (Colleen) Batchelor. He was also preceded in passing by his grandchildren, Jacob Asher and Hope Batchelor; great-granddaughter, Zoe Pharr; sister, Peggy Brock; and brother, Larry Batchelor. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Contributions in Butch's memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
