"She was a gardener in every sense -
Not just of soil and bloom,
but of souls.
She nurtured life,
coaxed beauty from the ordinary,
planted kindness wherever she went.
Her hands, though touched by time and pain,
were always gentle -
cradling blossoms in the spring,
and puppies in the stillness of morning.
Those little companions, tails wagging,
were her joy, her comfort, her quiet friends.
Even as illness crept in -
unwanted, unkind-
she met each day with grace.
Like a rose growing through frost,
She never gave up on blooming.
Her courage was quiet, but unshakable.
In the end, it wasn't the cancer that defined her,
but the life she lived in spite of it.
The garden she grew, the love she gave,
the peace she found in morning light,
the laughter she shared under sunlit skies.
And so we do not say goodbye -
not truly.
We'll find her in the rustle of leaves,
in the scent of lilacs,
in a soft bark from a playful pup,
in the quiet strength of a woman who loved, and was so deeply loved in return.
Rest now, Connie Medsker,
Your garden is eternal."
Your love grows on.
