Constance J. Dumford, 79, of Ft Wayne, died Thursday, March 4 at Coventry Meadows. She was born July 18, 1930 in Decatur, IN. She was a member of North Christian Church, Disciples of Christ; Festival Choir; Celebration Singers and was the former Chaplain of the Daughters of American Revolution. She was a dental technician for 25 yrs for Bryan Dental Lab. She is survived by her husband of 61 yrs, Charles L. Dumford, of Ft Wayne, IN; Daughter, Peggy (Marty) Bender, of Ft Wayne, IN; Son, James (Pamela) Dumford, of Ft Wayne, IN; 8 grandchildren, Amy Moynihan, James Randolph Dumford, Meghan Dumford, Rachel Bender, Emily Bender, Allyson Bender, Jeff Bender & Donald Bender; 9 great grandchildren; and Brother, Norman Cook, Largo, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn Cook & Mildred (Kromm) Adams. Funeral Service 2:00pm Monday, March 8 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Calling is 2-4 & 6-8pm Sunday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton, Winchester Rd.Chapel. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to Festival Choir.
