Curt J. Bangert

Curt J. Bangert, 56, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at his home in Roanoke, Indiana. Born in Fort Wayne on September 4, 1965, Curt was the son of the late Robert Bangert and Lorraine (Hirschbiel) Bangert, who survives. He was a graduate of Homestead High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree and an MBA from Indiana University. In 1989, Curt married the love of his life, Kim (Gardiner), and for 32 years they built a life and a business together. Curt had a passion for business and was the proud owner and operator of FDMP Enterprise, LLC in Fort Wayne. He was a member of the Orchard Ridge Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf in his free time. Playing golf and watching soccer were Curt’s favorite ways to enjoy sports these days. He played soccer in high school and college and had a passion for Premier League Football. Curt also loved cooking, gardening, being outdoors, anything to do with Marvel Comics, and especially his beloved dogs, Raven, Xander, and Gunner. Curt will be dearly missed by friends and family alike. He is survived by his wife, Kim Bangert; his mother, Lorraine Bangert; sister, Beth (Moy) Martinez; brother, Brian (Beth) Bangert; several nieces; and one great-niece. Curt was preceded in death by his father, Robert; mother-in-law, Bernadette Gardiner; father-in-law, Dr. Glen S. Gardiner; and by his favorite dog, Louie. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Greenlawn Funeral Home with calling hours from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A private burial will follow the conclusion of the funeral service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials in Curt’s name may be made to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home of Fort Wayne.
