Daniel P. Andersen

Daniel P. Andersen, 88, passed away Saturday April 30, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Wayne to the late Hans and Mayme Andersen, he was a graduate of Central Catholic High School where he met his high school sweetheart Theresa (Renner). He retired from Lincoln Life Insurance Company in 1990 after 30 years of service. With a lifelong passion for music, Dan was a member of St. Patrick's Choir for over 40 years. He never met a stranger.

Surviving are his wife of 68 years Theresa, daughter Cynthia (Jack Haggenjos) Andersen; sons Tim (Charlene) Andersen, John (Carol) Andersen, Joe (Charlene) Andersen, Dan (Kim) Andersen, David (Brittney) Andersen, Tom (Jackie) Andersen; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Preceding in death are his siblings Br. Charles Andersen CSC, Vivian Kilkelly, and Bill Andersen.

Funeral Mass will be 11:30 Thursday May 5, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church 2120 S. Harrison St. with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 5-8 with a Rosary Service at 5 Wednesday May 4, 2016 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home 6424 Winchester Rd.

Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
