David J. Rhodus

David J. Rhodus, 57, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, David was the son of the late Donald and Rose Rhodus. David had been a lifelong mechanic. He worked with Wiese USA for the past 15 years. David served our country as a US Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors grilling and taking care of his yard. David loved spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Kelly Rhodus of Fort Wayne; step-sons, Todd (Patty) Brown, Nolan Crays; step-daughter, Carly Crays; granddaughters, Ashley and Grace Brown; great-grandsons, Ryder and Brantley Geier; siblings, Dennis (Lori) Rhodus, Angela (George) Whittle, and Susan (Aron) Hildabridle. David was preceded in death by his first wife, Gayle Rhodus and step-son, Jeffery Brown. Service is 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior, Pastor Rick Cockman officiating. Calling at the funeral home Monday, March 19, 2018, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery New Haven, New Haven, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
