Delbert Sanders, 85, passed away December 26, 2022 at his home in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born September 14, 1937 in Pineville, KY, to Charles and Ruby Sanders. After high school he proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1960. He attended Branches of Christ Church and a member of NRA, and the North American Hunting Club. Delbert was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Sanders of Fort Wayne, IN; children, Angela (William) Wilcox of New Haven, IN; Steve (Julie) Sanders of Fort Wayne, IN; siblings, Mary Bassett of NC; Christine Davis of Connersville, IN; Virgil Sanders, of OH; Earl and Eddie Sanders both of Washington State, Virble Sanders Jr. of Connersville, IN; He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Delbert was preceded in death by an infant son, Gregory Sanders.
