Deloris Marie Cattin

Deloris Marie Cattin, age 92, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024. She was born on November 7, 1931 in Fort Wayne to Melvin and Hortense Beucler. She graduated from North Side High School in 1950, where she met her high school sweetheart, Paul Cattin, Jr. They were married on September 22, 1951 at Bethany Presbyterian Church and enjoyed 55 years of marriage until he passed in 2007. Together they had 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. Dee was employed at Sear's Glenbrook in 1968. Her first position was in the catalog department. Later, she transferred to the Personnel Department as a Personnel Assistant until she retired in 1991. After retirement, Dee and Paul took care of their parents and tried to enjoy their lake place as much as possible. They enjoyed fishing and bonfires with their family and friends. In 1969, Dee became a charter member of Grace Presbyterian Church. Dee was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter; Vicki Howell, brother; Dick Beucler, and sisters; Ruth Heininger and Jeanne Witzigreuter, and her beloved dog, Sharkie. Surviving are her daughter, Linda (Jerry), Wolcottville, and son, Chris Cattin, Fort Wayne. Her sister, Lois Scott. Grandchildren: Angela Parker, Brandi (Ken) Starbuck, Mystee (Sam) Eagleson, Dan and Simon Howell. Great grandchildren: Jessica, Jackie, and Autumn Spillers, Danial Howell, Jr., Rylee and Brady Eagleson, and Noah and Lukas Russell, and 10 great-great grandchildren. Services will be held at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells Street, at 1pm on Monday, April 1st, with visitation prior from 11-1 . Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian and the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo.
