So many laughs and good memories were shared by the Azar's crew. We will miss Denny's "good morning", always followed by a friendly smile. Dennis always had something to add towards solving the problems of Waynedale and sometimes, the world. Your chair will be vacant and my mornings will certainly be without a laugh to leave with. Rest in peace my friend.

I worked with Denny at Pleasant Center. He was just the best in every way! He was funny, caring, and always ready to pitch in and help. His work ethic was unlike anyone I have ever known. He did his job 100% while always having time to chat or comment on the occurrences of the day. He cheered up a gloomy day just by his presence. My sincere sympathy to his family and all those who loved him.

I taught at Pleasant Center with Denny. I think this was about 17 years ago. I was pregnant at the time and on my way to school one day, I hit a bird. Initially, I was slightly distraught by the noise and the feathers that went flying on impact (and did it crack my windshield?? - it didn't). But then, I saw the MOUSE wedged in my windshield wiper that the bird was carrying. I was mortified! Do you know what it's like to drive with a mouse stuck on your windshield wiper?! The tail occasionally flapping in the wind?? I passed a trooper hoping he would pull me over - he didn't. I drove on to school (debating do I turn on the windshield wiper?? - I didn't ), hoping and praying Denny was working that morning. My other option was ole Joe, who just didn't have the disposition Denny had. Joe would've grumbled the whole time and moseyed along, not understanding my sense of despair. I walked into the building and heard the most joyous sound - Denny's whistling. He whistled constantly! I hunted him down and....HE HAD GLOVES ON!!! I explained my predicament and honestly, I don't think he believed me. I escorted him out to my car, showed him the evidence and Denny laughed. And laughed. And laughed. Thank the Lord, he removed the mouse. In the years that I would see him after Pleasant Center, he would bring up my mouse story. I know I still tell it today. No one really believes that I hit a bird/mouse combo. But Denny was there. He knew what I went through. And made it a seriously funny situation. I loved that man! We all loved him at Pleasant Center and elsewhere. I teach at Price now and the last time I saw him he was mowing the lawn. It's been around 3 years, may be more since then, but I always hoped it was him mowing just so I could see his smile. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how I feel and I'm not related! He was such a good person. God bless you and Rest in peace Denny.
