Diane Marie Michaels

Diane Marie Michaels passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Mildred Rahrig; her brother, Tim Rahrig; and her husband, Steven Michaels. She is survived by her brothers, Tony (Tish), Jeff (Erin) and Jerry (Sarah) Rahrig; her sisters, Nancy Siegel, Kris McDermott, and Patty (Dave) Sexton; her son, Christopher Michaels; and her grandsons, Erik Michaels and Nolan Kloer.

Diane was a dear friend to many over the years, always being a great sounding board for family, friends and coworkers. She loved to travel and was lucky enough to see most of the United States. For many years, she was an avid reader and book collector, amassing hundreds of novels, which she was proud to say, she had read everyone. For most of her career, she worked in the hotel business, mainly at Staybridge Suites in Fort Wayne, IN, as Director of Sales. Before that, she had a successful bus tour business, in which she was able to work with many area high schools, planning trips to Washington, D.C. and Boston. In addition, she also enjoyed watching sports, including IU Basketball, the Colts and St. Francis Football, as well as many of her nieces' and nephews' events, throughout the years.

Diane will be missed by many and her memory will live on by a long list of family members.

Funeral service will be 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation two hours prior.
