Don Foster Joseph Shoup Jr.

Don Foster Joseph Shoup Jr, 76, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday August 13, 2021. Born on September 2, 1944, in Lima, Ohio, and moved to Fort Wayne when he was five. He was a son of the late Don F.J and Beatrice (nee Crawford) Shoup Sr. Don graduated from Huntertown High School in 1962. He proudly served his country in the Army for two years and seeing action in Vietnam. Don retired from Dana Corp, after 40 years and 9 months of service, in the gear development department. He was an avid bowler and bowled on several leagues and a member of the Fort Wayne Hot Rod Association and the NSRA Indiana Safety Team.

He is survived by his wife of more than 35 years, Debra (nee Hahn) Shoup; children Denna Shoup of Columbia City, IN; Don F.J. “Joe” (Sarah) Shoup III of Churubusco, IN; sister Donna (Robert) Brandt of Churubusco, IN; six grandchildren Victoria Shoup, Cassidia (Shane) Seekins, Javier Wiggs, Tyler Posyer, Isabella and Joseph Shoup, ten great grandchildren, Branson, Lynlee, Keaton, Faith, Jackson, Linkyn, Winston, Levi, Atticus, Jiovanni, sister in law, Sally Bowen, brother in law Jack (Joyce) Hahn and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister Delores Krider.

Funeral service will be 3pm Wednesday August 18, 2021, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation from 1pm until 3pm. at the funeral home. Casual attire is welcomed.
