DONALD T. FUNK, 90, passed away on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Grey Stone Health & Rehabilitation, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Don served his country during World War II in the United States Marine Corp. Later, he worked as a facilities and grounds manager with Ivy Tech for 11 years. He liked photography, computers, and was talented at making jewelry when he was younger. Surviving are his son, Mike (Donna) Funk of Fort Wayne; grandsons, Brian and Steven Funk; granddaughter, Amy (Jordan) Montgomery; and great-granddaughter, Myka Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Funk; parents, Glenn Funk and Esther Fiegel; and sister, Marilyn Householder. Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse.
