Donald E. Sell

Donald E. Sell, 83, of Huntertown, passed away on May 30, 2018, at Peppi's Hospice House, in Tucson, from complications after cardiac surgery, on February 13. He was born to Woodrow and Mary Sell, in Bippus. After serving in the Army, he graduated from Ball State University with a doctoral degree in education. Don was employed by Fort Wayne Community Schools until his retirement in 1995. He enjoyed golf, woodwork, and travel. Don was a lifelong member of the Rotary Club of Fort Wayne, past-president of Indiana Association of School Business Officials (IASBO), and was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Fort Wayne. He is survived by his wife, Karyn J Sell; son, Greg Sell, of Fort Wayne; daughter, Wendy Kheiry, of Findlay, Ohio; step-daughters, Debbie Malcom, of Spokane, Washington, and Brenda Lovell, of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Ian Sell, of Fort Wayne, Alexander, Essma, and Rebecca Kheiry, of Findlay, Ohio; brother, Robert Sell, of Bippus; and sister, Margaret Detamore, of Fort Wayne; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Dona (Mann) Sell; and sister, Ruth Campbell. Memorial service will be 1pm, Saturday June 30, at Faith Baptist Church, 6600 Trier Road, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Peppi's Hospice House at the Tucson Medical Center, 2715 N Wyatt Dr. Tucson, AZ 85712. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne.
