Donna Jean Chester, age 92, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at her home. She was born in Fort Wayne, Ind. on December 21, 1931 to the late Joseph M. and Melda A. (Egts) Fett. Donna attended R.J. Smart School and would marry the love of her life, Donald "Donnie" M. Chester in March of 1948.
She was employed with Whitley Products for over twenty years. Donna enjoyed watching college basketball, especially I.U. and Purdue, Indianapolis Colts football, soap operas, doing word search puzzles and listening to country music.
Survivors include her sons, Terry A. (Linda) Chester of Wawaka, Ind., David M. Chester, and Leroy (Cheryl) Chester of Fort Wayne; daughter, Rhonda L. (Randy) Morris of Fremont, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Lori Chester of Garrett, Ind.; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Pulver.
She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of sixty years, Donnie; son, Todd L. Chester; daughter, Rebecca J. Lytle; son-in-law, Walt Lytle; brothers, Richard Fett, Forrest Fett, and Dennis Fett; sisters, Rosie Yoder, Henrietta Sprankles, and Norma Conners; grandchildren, Wendy Chester, Matt Chester, Brian Lytle, Tad Morris; and great-grandson, Evan Lytle.
Funeral Service is 11:00 am Thursday, September 5, 2024 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior. Friends and family will also be received 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment at Harlan Memorial Cemetery, Harlan, Ind.
