On May 1, 2023, our beloved Dorothy and “ precious gift of God” left this world to tenderly be embraced by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She passed peacefully with her beloved family by her side. We can only imagine the joy she is experiencing. This thought brings us comfort as we try to imagine life on this earth without her. We can say with assurance, quoting the words of Paul in (2 Timothy 4:7-8), that during her 84 years on this earth and while enduring the ravaging effects of dementia that “she has fought the good fight, she has finished the race and there is in store for her a crown of righteousness.”
Dorothy will be remembered, fondly by her loving and faithful husband of 63 years and 11 months, Vern Frayer; daughter, Deb( Bob) Trabel; son, Tim(Tina)Frayer; grandchildren, Andrew, David, Tristan and Devan; great grandchildren, Aubrey,Jonah, Kaden and Elijah; sisters, Clara(Joe)
Rosebaum and Becky Quimby. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Rebecca Powell; siblings, Tommy, Billy, Nellie and Fred; grandchild, Lilli Frayer.
Dorothy was a devoted, faithful and loving wife, mom, grandma, friend, prayer warrior and a faithful follower of Jesus. We will miss her immensely and loved her deeply. We know that we were deeply loved by her as well . We could see the love In eyes even though she could not always verbalize this. “Thank you God for sharing Dorothy with us. She truly has been a precious gift of God. ( true to the meaning of name. ) We leave her in your care and we look forward to a reunion with her. again. 🙏❤️“Oh Happy Day” Visitation will be Monday 05/08/2023 from 3 pm - 7pm at C.M Sloan and Sons Funeral Home 1327 N.
