He graduated from Fairfield Jr. Sr. High School in 1974.
Douglas was an avid reader and enjoyed working out and exercising. He was an Engineer at Smoker Craft Boats of New Paris, IN for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Swinehart of Fort Wayne, IN; son Ben (Kristin) Swinehart of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter Bobbi (Richard) Wilson of Niles, MI; grandchildren, Morgan, Lachlan and Emerson Swinehart.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tony “Butch” Swinehart.
