

Doyle Curtis Litton, a beloved and hard-working individual, passed away on January 10, 2026, at the extraordinary age of 100. Born on July 16, 1925, in Cooperative, Kentucky, Doyle lived a life full of dedication and service.
Doyle attended McCreary County High School in McCreary County, Kentucky. He served in the Navy from October 13, 1943, to June 1, 1946, and later worked as an electrician at the CASAD Depot for the U.S. Government.
On July 20, 1946, Doyle married Avonda I. (Williams), with whom he shared a loving life. Together, they explored many states in their 5th wheel, including Alaska, and traveled to foreign countries such as Korea, Japan, the Panama Canal, Mexico, the Holy Land, Egypt, Greece, Austria, and Scandinavia.
Doyle had a passion for gardening, growing zucchini, green beans, corn, cucumbers, and tomatoes. He was also skilled in building furniture, creating pieces such as a curio cabinet, nightstand, headboard, kids train table, baseball bat, bunk beds, and even remade a bunk bed into a coat rack, among other projects.
He was actively involved in his community through Park Place Community Church, Luminary Hospice, the American Legion, and the VFW.
Doyle is survived by his daughter, Sharon Anders, who resides in Churubusco, Indiana, as well as six granddaughters, one grandson, four great-granddaughters, and nine great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his father, Jasper B. Litton; his mother, Cordia (Troxel) Litton; his wife, Avonda I. (Williams) Litton; his son, Timothy D. Litton; his sister, Edna Griffis; his brother, Forrest Litton; and his sister, Rosevina Hall.
Visitation will be held at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, located at 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46825, on January 18, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and again on January 19, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. The funeral service will follow on January 19, 2026, at 11:30 am at the same location.
He will be laid to rest in Riverview Cemetery, Churubusco, IN at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
