Ebony LaShae Jackson-Starkey was born on March 23, 1983 to Terri Starkey and Simon Jackson (who preceded her in death). She gave herself to Christ at an early age. She was home schooled in Fort Wayne, Indiana where she received her diploma. She also received her Associate Degree from the University of Phoenix. Ebony loved to play the guitar and keyboard in her free time. Ebony’s musical interests impacted her nieces and nephews who wanted to “play music like Auntie Ebby”. She also had a vivid, colorful imagination and would draw using top of the line art equipment as a calming/relaxation technique. Ebony was an amazing landscaper; she would do maintenance on family & friends’ lawns and could not wait to see the smiles on their faces once she completed the job. Ebony had a nurturing, humble, kind spirit; she would always be there for others in times of need. She was a Proud Aunt and Stepmom who would drop anything to make sure that the “children” were taken care of. She was currently employed at Stratosphere where she liked her job as a Team Lead.
She leaves to mourn her, her mother (Terri); life partner (Adia); and three stepchildren. Also surviving are four brothers (Jason, William, Chad, Tommie); sister (Malikah); and very special friends Tommie Tennille, Shanell, Angela, Camille, Lakeisha, Codi and many others; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family thanks you for your prayers and well wishes through this difficult time.
