Edward P. "Butch" Woehnker

Edward P. “Butch” Woehnker, 92, of Fort Wayne passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. He was born on October 20, 1928 in Fort Wayne, the son of the late Edward M. and Agnes M. (Zuber) Woehnker. He was a 1946 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He worked at the Kroger office and later at Dilgard Foods before retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching Notre Dame Football, playing tennis, and having his afternoon Manhattan. Surviving family include his loving wife of 72 years, Patricia “Pat” (Sherman) Woehnker whom he married on January 22, 1949; children, Mike, Mark (Patti) of Colts Neck, New Jersey, Nick (Carol), Lori Witte, and Greg (Wendy); grandchildren, Brittany (Dan) DeWyse, Matthew (Jackie) of Shrewsbury, New Jersey, Craig (Katie) of Shrewsbury, New Jersey, Kelsey (JT) Walsh of Shrewsbury, New Jersey, Courtney Witte, Erik Woehnker, Johnny Woehnker; great grandchildren, Hayden Grace Emrick, Brett Edward Woehnker of Shrewsbury, New Jersey, Jake Woehnker of Shrewsbury, New Jersey, Tommy Walsh of Shrewsbury, New Jersey, and Abigail Woehnker of Shrewsbury, New Jersey. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with a rosary service at 2:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church or Eleos Hospice.
