Eldred Thomas Glass

Jack graduated from Rome City High School in 1950 and attended classes at IPFW. He worked at International Harvester/Navistar for 47 years until his retirement.

Jack served in the U.S. Naval Air Corps from 1951 through 1959 as an Aviation Machinist's Mate, Petty Officer Second Class.

He was a member of the American Legion, Post 47, Highland Lodge #762 F&AM, Trinity Chapter Eastern Star #576, the Scottish Rite, Mizpah Shrine and the Shrine Chanters.

His hobbies included camping, visiting lighthouses, playing cards and telling stories.

He was a devoted husband and father, preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharis, and his brother, Rob Roy.

Surviving are children, Tahl (Laura) Glass of Auburn, IN,; Tania Glass of Fort Wayne, IN.; Step-grandchildren, Joe (Julie) Nack of Auburn, IN,; Daymond (Laura) Nack of Traverse City, MI,; Chris (Kaelly) Smock of Fort Wayne, IN,; Step-great-grandchildren, Nolan Nack, Kaden Nack, Elliot Nack, Isla Nack and Luca Smock.

Celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM January 10, 2026, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Visitation will be held two hours prior.
