She worked for Fort Wayne Community Schools and spent most of her career as a Physical Educator at Lakeside Junior High School/Lakeside Middle School in the 70’s and 80’s.
Jeane and her husband moved to Florida in 1989 to enjoy their retirement years. This is where she picked up the sport of Shuffleboard and had many great accomplishments. She also loved a good game of Parcheesi and cards with family and friends.
Jeane is survived by her children, Bruce (Gayle) Shearer of Grabill, IN, and Susan (Shearer) Henschen of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren Holly (Jon) Muzzillo, Kyle (Brittany) Shearer, Tyler Shearer, Erik Henschen; and great-grandchildren, Ellie and Presley.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 45 years, Arthur “Otts” Shearer and second husband of 12 years Gerald Snyder.
A private burial will occur at a later date.
