Esther Aileen Lalka of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the age of 98. She was born in Jessup, Pennsylvania on March 9, 1925, to the late Santi and Maria (nee. Silvestri) Pardi.
On May 8, 1948 she married her longtime friend, George Lalka in Peckville, Pennsylvania. Their marriage lasted 71 years until his untimely passing in 2019. She worked many years as a business secretary and later as an sales associate with JC Penney Co. Esther was faithful member of First Assembly of God.
She was an avid reader and an awesome cook. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.
Esther was also preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Cesari, Martha Case and Evelyn Macarone.
She leaves to cherish her memories and continue her legacy to her sons, Stephen Lalka and David (Ruth) Lalka; six grandchildren, Jordan, Stephanie, Courtney, Brandon, Blaine and Evan; nine great-grandchildren, Michael, Dylan, Briana, Chloe, Zoe, Kiley, Kinsley, Alysia and LakeLynn; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
