Evelyn E. Biers

Evelyn E. Biers, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday April 20, at St. Joseph Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Decatur, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Clara (nee. Christianer) Scheumann, and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne.

She is survived by her children, Debra (Michael) Stephan, Michael (Lisa) Biers, and Lisa (Alex Wright) Roberts; grandchildren, Angela (Brad) Russ, Elizabeth (Bryce) Roebel, Christopher Stephan, Kathryn (Harrison) Bryan, Adam Biers, Kelsey Biers, and Jordan Cox; great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Lillie, Elliott, Ava, Colin, and Caleb; and sister, Berneice Newsom. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hal Biers; sister, Alice Heinrich; and brother, Edgar Scheumann.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, April 27, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior, at church. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, Friday Saturday April 26, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 West Wayne Street, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Worship for Shut-ins, or Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne
