He was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country during World War II and retired from American Hoist & Derrick. He was an active member of the Southwest Conservation Club, American Legion Post 43, and volunteered for many community organizations. He enjoyed wood working, hunting, and fishing.
Surviving are his children, Jim (Karen) Yankosky, Judy (Randy) Kahn and Bob (Maria) Kenworthy; grandchildren, Jim, Julie, Jeff, Amy, Chad, Forest, Robert and Dale; 10 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife 58 years, Janet A. Kenworthy.
Service is 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb., 21, 2016, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at the funeral home.
