Frank graduated from Columbia City High School in 1970 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Master of Science in School Counseling from Indiana State University. He spent his career as an Oboe Finishing Supervisor and retired from Fox Products in 1999, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and excellence.
On December 11, 1976, Frank married Margaret (Davis) Sklenar, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. Together, they raised two children, Heather (Kenneth) Johns of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Craig (Benjamin Lille) Sklenar of Montreal, Quebec. Frank cherished his family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them.
In his personal life, Frank had a passion for music, loved riding his tractor, and was actively involved in community volunteering. His generous spirit and commitment to helping others were evident in all aspects of his life.
Frank is survived by his wife, Margaret; his daughter, Heather Aislynn; son, Craig Davis; grandchildren, Noah and Natalie Johns; sisters, Ida Feldheiser and Irene Sorg; brother, Edwin Sklenar; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Ethel (Koomler) Sklenar and sister, Antonia Botz.
Visitation will be held at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, located at 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805, on December 18, 2025, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Frank Joseph Sklenar will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and his community. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and integrity that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
