Gaylord Roland Moore Gaines

Gaylord Roland Moore Gaines, age 71, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at his residence. He was born on August 22, 1947 in Fort Wayne, IN to Frederick S. and Reola C. (Williams) Moore. Gaylord graduated from Central High School and then continued his education at Ivy tech Community College where he earned multiple Associate degrees to include Computer Programming Technology, Information/Data Management with a technical certification in Accounting Technology. He worked as an Administrative Manager at Ivy Tech for nearly 30 years. Gaylord was a music enthusiast, loved Michael Jackson, and going to Aretha Franklin and Diana Ross Concerts. He had plans to have his own DJ business after retirement. Gaylord loved animals and studying astrology. He also enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and family. Survivors include his siblings; Greta McKinney, Dr. Raphilla Dixie, Syble Smith, Toni Moore-Stewart, Aloma Moore, Rev. Frederica Lupkin, Paul Rowe, and his 4 boys; Terrance S. (Kortney A.) McKinney, Terry (LaToya) McKinney II, Terrell (Tanya) McKinney, Tyrone (Chelsi) McKinney, as well as a host of other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Reola Moore, life partner Richard Charles Moore Buford, and siblings; Edward Theodore Moore and Gloria A. Williams. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 at 5pm with visitation 3 hours prior from 2-5pm.
