George Henry Ricketts blessing of birth was February 17, 1938. He was the son of the late Leroy and Betty (Forbis) Ricketts. George was the true definition of AMAZING. He had been renamed Grandad by all family and friends even the neighborhood children. That was the loving spirit that he displayed with not just his grandchildren but all who came in contact with him. George Ricketts was a man of honor and hard work. He gave International Association of Machinist and Aerospace workers 15 years of hard work, but then spent 25 more years working for Diettrich Industries from which he retired. George Ricketts was a selfless man whom spent his life raising eight grandchildren as his own. He always made sure we had what we needed. Never can I remember a time where we missed a birthday or holiday. He was what you call a Memory Maker. George was loved by many with plenty of reason. He enjoyed family, traveling, fishing, football and working on cars. He was such a humble and loving man. He lit up any room and when he walked in he always brought smiles and laughter. He was a man with lots of wisdom. He was a very honest man. Grandad never judged. He loved beyond your flaws. If you had a chance to know him I'd have to say you were very blessed to have come in contact with such a genuine man. George Ricketts was reunited with the Lord on June 7, 2020. He will be truly missed and never forgotten. We will love him forever and always.
