George R. Wilenski, 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. George was born April 6, 1946 in Warsaw, Poland, son of the late Alexander and Helen (Starczk) Wilenski. He was a 1963 graduate of Central Catholic High School. George had worked for Penn Central and Conrail Railroads and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He also spent many years working for Brinks. After retiring, he worked for a number of companies, including Avis and Ehlerding Motorsports. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and spent much of his time volunteering with the Polish National Alliance. He loved racing and motorsports and was an American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association national champion. Surviving are his wife Carol Wilenski of Fort Wayne; children, MaryBeth Miller of Fort Wayne, John (Chrystal) Wilenski of Kissimmee, FL, and Jeffrey Wilenski of Key West, FL; brother, Mark (Sandy) Wilenski of Niles, MI; sister, Mary (Rick) Miller of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer (Mitchell) Pulver of Odenville, AL, Jewel Hammond of Aurora, CO, and Angela (Kevin) Blum of Columbus, OH; and great grandchildren, Easton, Anna Bell, and Case Pulver. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 16933 Thiele Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809. Burial will be at St. Mark Lutheran Church Cemetery. Contributions in George's memory may be made to the Polish National Alliance Education Fund, Visiting Nurse Hospice, or St. Mark Lutheran Church.
