Gerald Kenneth Anders

Gerald K. Anders passed on March 30, 2026, at home at the age of 75. Gerald K. Anders was born in Danville, IL, on February 28, 1951, to Royce and Lena Anders. He attended Trinity Lutheran School and later completed his Bachelor’s degree. All his life he worked for General Motors first in Danville, and later in Defiance, OH.

Jerry and Irene Anders were married in Danville, IL, on July 17, 1991. Jerry was a wonderful person who took care of his family and loved animals, birds, and nature. His passion was cars and motorcycles, and he knew everything about them. He loved classical movies and could talk for hours about great actors. He also had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke.

He is survived by his loving wife Irene Anders, his daughter Grace Bartley, son-in-law Brayden Bartley, and three grandkids: Aubrey Crook, Elise Anders, and Jaxon Bartley.

He is also survived by his sister Judith Sanders, cousin Richard Anders, and nephew Ronald Konkel.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his niece Theresa, and nephew Gordon.

A celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 9, 2026, D. O. McComb and Sons - Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Rd., Fort Wayne, IN with calling one hour before.
