Gloria Grace Brown

Gloria Grace Brown, 81 of Ft Wayne, passed away into the arms of her Savior March 17, 2018. She is survived by her husband, Richard of 61 years, children, Susan and Gary Predmore, Jennifer and Greg Fowler, and Joel and Jen Brown. Grandchildren and great grandchildren, Shannon and Jesse Lesher and Jacen, Rick and Naomi Appel, Erica and Ryan Roberts and Peyton, Anna Riggins, Austin Brown, Rylie and Connor Brown. She was born October 23, 1936 to the late Ray and Anna Harding. She is also preceded in death by brothers and sisters in law: Richard and Margaret Harding, and Kenneth and Helen Harding. Her sisters Shirley (Howard) Helmke, and Pat(Art) Ivins survive. Gloria was a life time member of St John Lutheran Church, There, she was involved in the church and school. She volunteered in the quilters group, the altar guild, and facilitated many weddings and funerals at the church. She sang in the choir for many years and she was heavily involved in the women’s ministry in circles and as president of WELCA. She also was the school’s cook, was involved with the PTA and school board, worked in the library and she was also the school and church’s janitor. Gloria volunteered at Lutheran Hospital logging over 4500 hours, and at Lutheran Life Villages. She and Richard enjoyed travelling, especially visiting Alaska and Hawaii, Myrtle Beach, and Frankenmuth. Viewing will be at Klaehn, Fahl, Melton Funeral Home (6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819) on Thursday, March 22nd from 2-4 and 6 – 8 pm. Funeral will be at St John Lutheran Church (729 W Washington Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46802) at 11:00 am on Friday, March 23rd. . In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to St. John Lutheran Church Altar Guild.
