Gregory R. Towsley

Gregory Ray Towsley passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021,Gregory lived a very full and honorable life. He was a Vietnam war veteran, a Mason, a Shriner (past Commander of the Legion of Honor), and an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. He loved to hunt, fish, play guitar, fence, and travel with his wife Susan. He also volunteered at Coessee Elementary School teaching flag etiquette. He worked at General Electric Telephone for 35 years and had enjoyed his retirement for the last 18 years. Survivors include his wife of 49 years Susan Towsley (Sweeney), daughters; Darcy Towsley and Elizabeth (Zach) Walker, three granddaughters; Juliet, Isla, and Veronica; one grandson Liam, a brother; Robert (Penny)Towsley, sister; Catherine Towsley(Gabe Roberts), two nephews Jonathan Towsley and Waine Phillips, a great niece and nephew, many cousins and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father William Ray Towsley and mother Patsy Ann Towsley (Ford). Gregory will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. A memorial service for Gregory will be held 1pm Saturday, December 4, 2021 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN., with visitation from 10 am - 1pm at the funeral home.
