Helen Jean Beahrs, age 93, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Park Place Senior Living Center where she lived for the past five years. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Hazel (née Hazzard) Byall. She graduated from North Side High School in 1950 and worked as a Comptometer Operator for Magnavox and International Harvester before becoming a loving wife and mother.
Helen enjoyed being at her cottage on Ball Lake, spending time with her family, and reading.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Kelly) Beahrs and Laura Beahrs, both of Fort Wayne; grandsons, Forest (Nikki) Beahrs of Columbus, Ohio and Quentin (Katelyn) Beahrs, of Markle, Indiana; and great-granddaughter, Eleanor.
Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert D. Beahrs, in 1994.
Funeral Service is 11:00 am, Monday, February 10, 2025 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Friends and family will also be received on Sunday, February 9 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco, Indiana.
