Henry “Junior” Gaines, 64, died on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital. Born January 18, 1953 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, he was a son of the late Henry Sr. and Ethel (Ware) Gaines. Henry graduated from Northrop High School, Class of 1972, and was the co-owner of Gaines Construction Co. for over 30 years, from which he retired. He enjoyed fishing and playing bingo. He is survived by his daughters, Ebony (Jackie) Carter and Latoya Gaines; son, Joshua Gaines; sisters, Joyce Reese, Vivian (Henry) Thompson, and Marsha (Robert) Black; brothers, Rev. Michael (Pamela) Gaines, Ronald Gaines, Jerome (Denise) Gaines, and Darryel Gaines. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Freddie Joe Gaines and grandson, Davon Williams. Memorial Service will be 11:00am on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Greater Spirit of Love, 6116 South Calhoun St., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Paul Taylor Jr. Officiating.
